Rostered Off, got to love that Options

Monday 18/4/2011 gos down as one of those days when everything could not be better possum and i are on a rostered day off, the yaks are loaded on the 4b, the only thing left to do is head down the coast and go fishing left home at around 4.30am and arrived just on 6am bait and ice from the tackle shop in Batemans bay then a 10 minutes drive to South Durras lake set up the yaks and start fishing at about 6.45am



headed up to were we had nailed most of the fish on the last trip, there was just one small problem with this plan the fish had moved so after an hour of trying we moved up the lake to a spot near the yellow marker, for the first time I noticed it had writing on it best go take a looly look, BUGGER wish I hadn't now, it was a marker for a marine park who ever herd of a marine park in a small salt water lake [what are these stupid greens trying to prove] the lake is even closed to the sea,, time to take a break and have a think about the hole thing "by the way you can see the marker in the first photo"



starting to get a bit pissed off wont be able to settle down to fish now.
With a bit of prompting from possum we started back in to some fishing I lost a good sized flounder at the side of the yak and that was the some total of fish for the day couldn't even get the toads to bite, at least i have a good case of sun burn to show for the day.

Did you check out the marine park Poly, it may only mean no bait gathering or something like that.

yes fed we did, called back in at the bait shop and got a map of the park, were you see possum fishing is a habitat protected zone you can fish there but that's all no bait gathering or anchoring
things like that

Thought so Poly there's a lot of that in Botany Bay too.

Was thinking you could get by the sign and throw a lure, hardbait .

"krocadile" and or "Rapala" or" Luckycraft " hardbait ?

yep that's a nice though, but don't let it fall the wrong side of the sign as a fishing inspector sitting at the ramp would be able to see what you were up to, and that would not be good.
