Well, the best days of Fishing Oz Style are behind us. I often wonder what the 'early' members are now doing. We had a good number who contributed with reports and other things, Christmas get togethers, days out together on the water, lots of chatting, gee-ups and just plain fun. Also a few tense times, which hopefully are forgiven and forgotten. We had a good, social group of like minded blokes who became friends and "family" in a lot of cases. It takes a bit of effort and enthusiasm to keep relationships (and this forum) going and sadly, there are now just a half dozen of us left and even less who contribute anything. We have lost contact with each other, as the forum and get togethers arranged through the forum, were really the only way most of us got to reconnect.

I wish you all a very Happy and safe Christmas and a satisfying 2017. Longing for the 'old days'.

Klaus.

Well said Klaus, I for one open this site every day thinking the same, we did have some great times and did personally meet friends But things have slowed
immensely both on the site and in the things we do, I for one will be travelling again in 2017 and do hope to get some fishing in and catch up to old friends.
I wish one and all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. emot55.gif emot44.gif xmas tree.gif present.gif

You're not wrong it was a great group of people on here and I met many personally and formed a personal friendship with a few.
Gone are the days of get togethers and outings. I too open these pages at least twice a day hoping to see something written within these pages,
we are all to blame, we all say there should be more activity but few of us actually start a thread going.
Anyway to all that still read these pages I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and look forward to catching up with a few of you in the new year.

How can we save this site? Well, its 2016, i dont think we can. Unfortunately forums are dying off now and this site never had a great deal of members to start with. Everyones just on Facebook now, i spent many hours on it everyday, and so do aloooooot of people. I know the group of members here is small circle but i think if everyone merged there it wouldnt be as bad as you think. Alot of features now that make it similar if not better then a forum. If there was one i know i would be alot more active. Or maybe make this site mobile so its easy for people to login? Since most people use phones more regularly then computers.

Well it can be saved its a matter of work and allowing new members , and doing a real update to the script.
All this is time and money , I think I will put a latter script behind this one so people can see what it looks like , I won't update to the latest as the new version 4.0 script is now done on a $30.00 per month bases . Not like the version 3.0 which is $30.00 per year.
