Thought I'd go wet a line this arvo been a long time since I fushed the bay only cause it's been a shocking year fishy wise.

Thought I'd stop off & get a few Squiddys for bait 1st, still about but wind made it a bit hard



Still a good sized swell out there & it was rolling through the bay bommy was breaking big time

Anchored up & sat there for an hour or so & was tossing up whether to go home, not wun bait lost & nutting showing up on the sounder, new turn of the tide was not far off & decided to keep fushing till it turned.

Out off no where it turned on sounder showing snappy toms on bottom, but it was the blurters eating the baits so pulled out the light spin stick & had sum fun with SP's.



Just as action was getting hot brurry anchor pulled after sum big rollers came through, had it on a short rope in order to avoid boat swing in the wind, re-anchored but it twas hard to stay on top of my favoured drop cause i had to let out alot more rope this time.

If ewe can call them that, I've never had a year like this wun 95% of snappys in bay all undersized] & after fishing offshore of late these fish were puny not wun even came close to a keeper.

Pt Jacksons were a pain in the butt all arvo & I did get smoked on 3kg good guess it was a kung.

Blurters ended up being the highlight of the arvo esp on the spin gear

Pity about the undersize pinky's but mate I've been hearing of good reds being pulled out both up north around Longy and south around Bate Bay. By the size these guys are pulling out a 40-45cm fish is small.

Wondering where those mega-trevs have been, I remember two years ago when schools of 60cm+ ones were busting up on the surface, they're the ones I wanna get into!

The Bay can be a real pain up the back side at times...

There seems to be a rolling big swell most of the times near the heads...i hate it...and it bloody gives me headaches....

Bay is terrible in 12 knot wind plus....

Thats why it is also hard to anchor in some places.....

Long weekend coming up, so i will finally be able to put in some time..

Brained both the squidy's & blurters again 2day DF that'll teach ewe to do sleepy's till well after lunch

Magic conditions outside for the squidy's took no time @ all to nail a doz of them, had 3 -5 squid follow up the hooked wun on numerous occasions.

Tide turn @ 4 pm started heading back into the bay around 2'ish ran into Mr magoo out front spinning into a salmon school quick chat & off to anchor up.

Started getting undersize snappy toms then the blurters rocked up alot bigger than on flyday & was having a ball on the spin gear.

Packed bait rods away & was using my 7 1/2 ft 1-3 kg LOX rod love that wittle wod

Oh well Tuesday is wooking Goodarus haven't been out wide for months & big goat needs a run
