Good one Danny. Good to see it was released. There are some big flatties in Gunnamatta and a lot of fishos just launch there and head out or into other bays. Nice drop offs and fish holding areas. Seen lots of noahs in Gunnamatta over the years I worked in Pt Hacking.

Well done Danny. Damn fine speciman there mate.
You could rightly change your user name now to " Flattie CATCHER "
and congratulations on releasing that fine fish to allow one of us blokes another chance of catching it.
Very proud of you.

PS Hope you put your hand through the liniard of those lip grippers before you let it go.

Danny. There's no law that says you must do it and I am not having a shot at you , just trying to give a little bit of educated advise.
When you place a fish ( especially a head shaking type fish ) it is best if you can place your hand through the strap and use one hand on the grips only ( don't swap hands while fish in water ) what can happen is the fish gives a few powerful head shakes and pries the grips from your grasp.
This is not only a loss of a pair of lip grips but the poor fish has to swim around with them clipped to it's lip forever more.
Might never happen, but it could.

Na Na Na

That's no GooDarus

Wot ewe need to do is carry a big Hammer with ewe

Whack Whack twice on the head [thats how the species got it's name FLATHEAD]

And the fish goes into a calming mode making it easier to release

Double Whammy also

If ewe ever have probs with your outboard motor ??

Well MC Hammer can fix that as well, it specialises in fixing carbies that want to stay stuck hysterical.gif
