I've been saying teflon is the ants pants when it comes to corrosion control on alloy.
Was using it 30 odd years ago on aircraft That stuff is pretty pricey, I used lanolin grease back when I built the big goat & have not seen wun bit of corrosion & the lanolin grease is a hell of alot cheaper -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

CODE Could be looking out for you guys. I was thinking about kkw tin boat, it is getting on a bit, and even the new ones may need a bit of plastic putty from time to time. CODE I've been saying teflon is the ants pants when it comes to corrosion control on alloy. Was using it 30 odd years ago on aircraft That stuff is pretty pricey, I used lanolin grease back when I built the big goat & have not seen wun bit of corrosion & the lanolin grease is a hell of alot cheaper will the lanolin dry out over time and need to be redone or will it be a one off job Paul -------------------- bugger it's sold, got meself a house instead

i must ask were do you get the grease from, i have used the spray on lanotec as a rust preventive for the trailer and it works o.k., but i would think the grease would do a better job.

Whitworths carry it guess all boating acceseries places would as well
Engineering outlets have it as well It's thick as in the container & if ewe want it to be a bit more runny just leave it in the sun or hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |
