I've been saying teflon is the ants pants when it comes to corrosion control on alloy.

Was using it 30 odd years ago on aircraft

That stuff is pretty pricey,

I used lanolin grease back when I built the big goat & have not seen wun bit of corrosion & the lanolin grease is a hell of alot cheaper

I was thinking about kkw tin boat, it is getting on a bit, and even the new ones may need a bit of plastic putty from time to time.

Nope

Built the big goat over a year ago now & the lanolin grease is all still there even on the trailer

i must ask were do you get the grease from, i have used the spray on lanotec as a rust preventive for the trailer and it works o.k., but i would think the grease would do a better job.

Whitworths carry it guess all boating acceseries places would as well
Engineering outlets have it as well

It's thick as in the container & if ewe want it to be a bit more runny just leave it in the sun or hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer
