Hi guys,

Went for an afternoon evening fushin session with my brother Saturday night.

The plan was to fish the low tide which was at 8.03pm for Jew.
Had some almost fresh squid , yellowtail and pike for bait.

Arrived on the spot around 6.45pm and anchored up, threw the baits out and the waing game began.
The water was like mirror like and conditions were great.

We managed to land 1 x legal pinkkie and 1 x legal flathead, other than that very quite.
Had a great feed of bacon and eggs cooked fresh on the little butane cooker.

It was good to catch up with my twin brother, we sat there till 11.00 pm and called it a night, it had been a very long day for the two of us being at work from 4 am that morning.

We will keep trying and I will endeavour to post our great jew catch when it happens, so if any of you guys have any tips or want to share a proven location im all ears.

At least you got out there and had a go....sometimes it can be productive and sometimes not...

Where do you currently fish and what type of fish do you generally target ??

Myself, i mostley target estuary fish, like bream, flatties, whiting, etc...
I generally fish a few spots in the Georges River and sometimes wander out to Botany Bay. if i find a strong swell there i go back to the river....the last thing i need is to get seasick...

Majed,

My brother and I mainly fish Sydney Harbour and focus our attention from Roseville to the boundaries of north and south head.
We do visit the Hawkesbury occassionly, however find that Sydney is only 36 minutes away and a quick drive.

We grew up learning to fish around Balmoral beach so the area has sentimental value.
25 years ago we use to hire a boat from the boat shed and row out to a few spots within the six hour period, we managed to catch some nice Taylor, bream, mackeral, flathead, yellowtail and bonito.

These days we just go out to catch a feed and look at catching Kingfish and tageting jew.
The fishing for us seems to have gone back wards with 9 times out of ten we come home without a fish.
It is frustrating to be out in that much water , present baits and burley and have no takers interested at all.

Thats fishing I guess, we love it just the same and as always I cannot wait to get out there again.

Mate i went out on Wednesday arvo and couldnt believe the amount of bait in the harbour on my way out the heads.
Salmon and Bonito were busting them up everywhere, all the way into little Manly.
Thats the problem with Jewfishing in the harbour, its a hit and miss affair, with plenty of misses between the hits!
Atleast your getting out there and enjoying it regardless.
