I've done the Tuna mate the way Ange said, i only had a little bag of Sea Salt, but i'll buy some bulk salt soon, and go and get a dozon Bonito or something Another thing mate, try to at all times avoid washing your catch in fresh water, one thing i have against cleaning tables. OH and off topic but to do with washing things,,,, never ever use detergent to was out an esky or bait tank or kill tank, always use water and when dry apply a film of white vinegar or lemon to the inside to take any smells away. -------------------- Frank

Alright mate that sounds good, i'll do that next time we clean the boat, last time i just used soapy water for the esky, next time i'll just do what you said
The fish always get washed in salt water, i take a 20L bucket in the boat and fill it up at the ramp and use it where ever we clean the fish |

There's nothing wrong with technology or today's education system. Monkeys can be educated but they'll still handle their bum holes then put fingers in there mouths. Tis not the education that defines a person that counts It's wot they do with it which will define them QUOTE I mean, I turned out alright. Who's been telling ewe these PORKY'S ?????????? QUOTE Nah not the fishing spots Ange, it took me an hour to get back to Tunks Park ramp. I couldn't remember where the hell i launched i most of went up 5 or 6 bays. That'll teach ewe to launch in the habour plic of a place Mind ewe my 1st launch there in over 20 years was last year, fushed longy & shorty reefs came back in the dark there was a plik of a 2nd lighthouse sth of the wun on sth head & that's where I headed for till I realised sum ting was wrong. QUOTE I've done the Tuna mate the way Ange said, i only had a little bag of Sea Salt Salt is salt DanuSun it all comes from the sea just refined differently I just get the fine table salt bags from woolly's ps] wait till 2mollo or day after & pull fillet out of freezer & ewe'll see why I do it the way I do Wont be frozen, Wont have lost any of it's juices [I'd rather have those juices coming out of the bait when it hits the water than use it as brine per googlefishy's suggestion as burley] best of all fillet will be nice & soft -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

Hey Dan did you notice how all the Stripey fins fitted into the grooves & slots, nature's version of speed & fuel efficiency.
Salted down and wrapped in newspaper turns them into leather and gives the boat a nice smell too. They blow right back up when you wet them again. -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |

Fed the stripy is dead, only keeping the fillets not the eyes & head so wrapping them up in newspaper is of no avail

But it's your choice. -------------------- Frank
