ok guys when youse go camping do you take a truck load of gear like my tribe or do ya just take the basics ?are you a spoilt camper taking the best of everything ? come on fess up and no lieing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,



my tribe are that spoilt that we have to take 2 cars one with the camper and boat and a load of gear and the other with the trailer usually full of stuff as well ,we take stuff like ,electric 12v shower tv dvd player ,,just for the missus and kids mind you ,ahahaaha,,,,,next on the adjenda is a porta potti ,the missus bought a toilet and shower tent ,its a good setup ,but should be to for $200 ,,,when she bought it home i asked where the potti and shower were in the box ,but no it was more stuff we had to get ,,,,,,,she went out whilst we were at copeton dam and bought a brand new 4 burner bbq to cook on ,,,,,now shes talkin about gettin a new hot water system that are on the market ,,i said sure ,how much are they ,,,,she said ,oh only $300 ,,oh shit ,,,new outboard and leccie first thanx darl ,,,hahahahha,and thats nothin yet ,,,haahaha

depends mate, if its over a 3 night trip ill take extras.. if its a 1-2 night trip its just the very basics...

Swag
Camp box (plates cutlery cups frying pan and billy)
Camp Oven
BBQ plate (can be used for timber or gas burner)
Tent (if longer trip or rain is forecast)
Camp Chairs
Esky Full of RUM and some food.
FISHING GEAR!!!!

I have never been camping but I would think that camping is like doing things as rough as possible.

Sounds like jasonb is moving house when he goes camping.

If you count cattleshows as camping i just take a swag...

Jason you need to get a LARGE tent, now as it happens I am going to sell mine, It has all modern cons, Including a sunken Bath, Flush Toilet, carries a washing machine, has TV and Video, Reverse cycle air conditioning, is fully self contained and Solar Powered, It can tow a trailer with 4WD and Boat, and will still cruise at over 100kph,

this could save you a lot of trouble, Just jump in and go.

hmm thanks yourselfs lucky that your misses goes camping fishos.

my 1 wont go camping, she says she wont sleep anywhere or in anything less then a motel or park cabin,

not to sure if im lucky or unlucky there

but last time i went camping with the mates we had to have the essentials,
the essentials are

beer
tent
beer
pillow
beer
sleeping bag
beer
food
beer
bbq
beer

and of course you have to take the beer

I think you forgot to pack the RUM!!

update ,well weve decided to sell the camper on ebay ,and weve bought another tent ,so we can just put everything in the box trailer and go with just one car ,,,,hahahaah lets hope

well after the trip to st clair ,ive decided to get away from camp stretchers cause my back is still killing me ,its that bad if i sit for too long i get pins and needles in me feet and legs and arms as well and it never happened before the night on the stretcher ,what are the best beds or mattresses to get for camping guys

mate i sold the camper and was gonna buy 4 new stretchers but im glad i didnt ,,i bought another tent ,,maybe i should look for some of them old fold up single beds on wheels ,,,can get them cheap at garage sales

Yea, Id look at some foam matteresses, I always find them fold up beds sh!t..

Ya really cant beat swags though.. You wouldnt regret it
