There is lots of ways of catching CARP, use a #1 or 1/0 hook either no sinker or a small split shot about 1ft from hook bait up with a Corn Kernel or Hot Chip or you can make some Dough as we did for Mullet when we were kids, throw it out in the water and hang on for the fun.
PS trouble with hot chips is you tend to eat all the bait.

bait up with a Corn Kernel or Hot Chip
So what you are saying, is use their natural bait. Do they have butter and salt on their corn?

do you open up the tin of corn kenels first ,or put the whole tin on.
Rum might try the babby potatoes in the tin .

I would think that they have butter. Too much salt.

I have heard that if you leave a can of corn , with a hole punched in the can dangling from a tree that the carp will be there the next day .

NO Smelly you've got that one wrong, it goes like this: You get a larger type tin the commercial type Beetroot or Pinapple Juice tin, put a wire handle on it to hang from tree over river, punch about ten holes in the botton from the inside so that the sharp bits point down, half fill with prawn heads, and the next day the carp will be hanging around under it catching the live bait as it falls, If you want to stay and fish take the aeroguard and peg, or in your case Smelly take your Gas Mask.

My supervisor had some fed to him and he mention that they have a slight taste of mud. I guess you really need to know what you are doing if you are going to cook them and come out like KFC.

o.k. here is the easiest way to catch them, find a spot were peeps are feeding the ducks, thats were the carp will be, use bread for bait, [rig] hook no bigger than a 1/0 a spice of split shot about 10cm from hook a float may be used if u wish to keep it off the bottom but why would u carp are a bottom feeder.
