OK Guys attachments is down @ present.

For years now what I've been doing is using the IMG option to both post a pic into a thread or to use my avator/signature's.
Personally prefer IMG option for a couple of reasons main one being that I only have to upload a image once & use the link on as many different sites as I want without having to upload image again & again every time.

1st thing you need to be able to use the IMG option is a link to the image & to do that you require a site to host the image for years now I've using this site & never lost a image.

http://my.imageshack.us/registration/

Now best way of going about using imageshack is to register an account that way you get to manage your pics they when accessing your account there you get the pics come up like this as thumbnails

http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/5769/11hi0.jpg

I didn't use the IMG option for above for a couple of reasons

1st to show you that you can copy & paste just the direct link to the pic which I might add is a very good option if image is on the large side & you dont want to reduce it in size all peeps have to do is click on the link & up comes the pic.

2nd not every one has broadband or a fast speed like yours truly & those on dial up have the option to either view or not to view the pic instead of having it shoved down their throughts when opening a page here.

Rember everything to see on your browser screen is deemed a Download.

To get the Direct link for a particular image in your imageshack account simply right click the image & select view image & it will open up in a new page.

Now in that new page under the image there's an option which says Get Linking Code click on it & when new page loads rigt down the bottom you'll see

friends / Direct link to image thats the link you need to copy/pastse into the window which will appear when you use the IMG option on this site.

Now I didn't have to re-do this pic already used it in another thread it shows where the IMG option can be found when you're doing a post/reply to a thread.

If you get a error using IMG it's because you've inserted a Dynamic link

Just make sure you have the Direct link & you wont have any probs @ all

What parrots.gif is trying to say is exactly what I said.

Photobucket is just another host site for your pics.
