Well I just got back from my first school activities week fishing trip. I had a ripper of a time.
The first three days were not my greatest, my best fish being a 40cm trev that I lost over the side whilst cleaning. Bugger. Weather was pretty dodgy, but it improved gradually from being rubbish on Monday to being fantastic today. B)
Then Thursday rolled round and myself, a teacher and another student set out early morn for some tailor but since they were scarce, we checked out some salmon grounds and found some birds doing the dance. Needless to say the next few words were SALMON! We had a ball chucking spoons and slugs at them. I managed two around the 50cm mark and was chasing them on my 6lb bream gear, fun fun fun! We got pics but the teacher has them so I'll post later.
So with the weather cleared up we headed out for a jewie fish Thursday night. No jews, but I rolled up this nice 71cm kingy on, believe it or not, a nipper. :WowSpinBlue: Stoked. Took it before dark but forgot the picture tool on the house boat, so sorry in advance about the picture quality.
Friday rolled up some good fish for me including salmon, whiting and flatties. But it was especially good for our MIC; Hats. He rolled up a smorgas board of fish including thumper bream, flatties, gurnard, leatherjackets, whiting and he got busted off by what he called a "10kg jew". Funny thing is, he's so good he's probably right.
Overall a gr8 time.
Here's the Kung Fu Fush.
