There is a few ways to save you pictures.
1) upload to a good site
2) cd/dvd burner , I have internals in stock for $20 with software.
3) external dvd , which is the same as above but has a casing add $30.00 approx.
4) external hdd usb or esata start from $50.00 to $300.00 all depending on size
5) network computers and transfering
6) have them printed by someone like visatprint.
If you just need it for a once off job I will let you borrow one of mine all depending on the size you need.
Also in the externals hdd there is two types one that runs off the power of the computer especially for laptops and is usb only, the other has a fully power supply it self and can be run usb , firewire, e/sata and network all depending on the brand and cost.
If you decide on external go to officework and look at the Western Digital 1TB Elements Desktop External Hard Drive they have for $89.00 .I cannot even buy direct at that price.
Oz thanks mate, don't know what i'm going to do really, my internet connection is running slower then dial up at the moment and I have a optus tech coming out to me sometime, so I might place a vb in his hand and ask him nicely if he can find what happened to the burner that is inbuilt into my machine.
Think somehow I must have removed the drivers or something somewhere sometime somehow, just can't find a short cut or even a long cut to access it and burn the photos I want to save. vAL HAS ABOUT 2000 BLOODY BABY PHOTOS OF THE GRANKIDS GROWING UP and if I lose these from my computer blowing up i will be in BIG trouble.
I have a few photos from over the years I would also like to keep.
using laptop at moment, and can't get used to it.
