hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm yes indeed there is all ways a story to go with a skunked result, by 3.30 we had pulled up at Bawley point beach car park set up the rods and took the short walk to the waters edge.
Possum was first to bait up so I stood back to watch her first cast with the new lox Surf 10628 mated with a Shimano exage 4000fc.
the rod loaded up in a nice curve and shot the bait and sinker a good 50mts into the teeth of a screaming nor easter.
it was now my turn to cast into that wind my big rod and alvey did not disappoint shooting the terminal tackle off into the distance.
5.30 saw us leaving for the drive home after a great day spent first with my good mate Arne dog helping him refit the out board motor to his boat, the rebuild is coming along nicely and the boat looks a million bucks another week will most likely see it back in the water,, plus 2 hours waist deep in the surf fishing, fish or no fish it was a great day

P.S. I want one of those lox rods it is a magic piece of kit.
