Saw that Frank was Going Fishin, so I thought I would have a couple of hours off the rocks today. Had a bloke come up and ask how I was going and thought it was JG. He took an hour to set up and then started using a plastic handcaster. You have a look alike wandering at large, JG.
Anyway, the water was gin clear, as is often the case in Pt Hacking, but I could see fish swimming past. Had my float weighted so that it would go under at the slightest touch. It went down really slowly and then rose back to the surface. Checked the bait and was baited. Next down, I waited 5 or so seconds and lifted the rod tip. Onto a solid fish. The westerlie came up around noon, so I called it quits, as the float was going under with just the pressure of the wind. As I made the decision, the float didn't come back up, so I struck and got the final fish for me. No-one else caught a single fish while I was there, but they were all fishing pillies and prawn baits. Tally for my 2 hours, was 6 nice, fat, firm and healthy fish. They were very silver in colour, due to being over sand and in such clear water. Oh, by the way, they were Niggers, Blackfish, Luderick. Who is coming along next time? Fed? Fairy? Jumpus? - No... How about the Ozman?

Ahhhh Red throat Nigger, my favorite type of blackfish, well actually I don't have a favorite type black fish but if i did it would be Red throats.
Well done again, you know your stuff with them and it's always good to see someone catching fish,,, even if it is just niggers.

Had another shot at it yesterday. Got four in a couple of hours. Zero swell and wash, but I didn't have time to venture out the front. wow, they're big, solid fish at the moment. All around 40cm and full of milt. Guess I have spoilt their mating fun. Extremely light on the bite. They must just be mouthing it and sitting on it. I leave the flaot down for around 5-8 seconds before I lift the rod and then most are only lightly hooked. Great fun - love it.

Have ewe thought about using a fishing rod instead of Ztt'n them with you boom boom stick
