Well it's that time of the year again for me and 9 mates where we hire
a houseboat up the Hawkesbury and soak some baits hoping for a chrome bumper bar
to attatch itself to our hooks.
We pick the houseboat up Friday around 10.30 am and return it around lunch time
on Sunday. I take my Bass boat up as well and 1 or 2 other guys bring a boat to use as day boats,
and night boats if we want to get away from the houseboat.
I have been told there are a few Hairtail about this year so we might be in with a chance.

No wind up in the creeks and bays of the Hawkesbury in winter means FOG.
I will have to put the GPS in the boat so I can find my way back to the Houseboat.
It's high tides around 2-4 am so if I want to fish away from the mothership at high tide I will have to fly by instruements.
Hope to have some photos to show on Monday.
Sumo will be with me so anything could happen.

Well back from the houseboat, only complaint was it went too bloody quick and the week end was over way too soon.
I had a great time with some good friends, this year I took a tent and put it up on the top deck of the houseboat and was up there all by myself so heard no snooring or farting, once I decided it was bed time, slept like a log and should have been doing it years ago.
Only managed to catch 3 Hairtail myself and a couple of the other guys got a couple.
Also caught a heap of Salmon and travelly and some smallish Tailer.
Next planned trip for me is September when I head up to the Clarence for a week.
Dates are not finalised yet but we get a house that sleeps 8 with comfort for $150 for the week.
So far we still have 2 beds vacant if anyone is interested.
The house is on Goodwood island and you can fish from the bank 30 feet from the front door.

Clarence Frank, I go there every january. Get some 4-6in lures for the jacks-had a little luck in terrible conditions last year between palmers island and the highway bridge-theres a couple of creeks that hold good fish.

Jason. Have you got any idea of what's on the chew in September up that way ?
Will be taking the Bass boat up there and more then likely be there for best part of a week so want to make the most of things as this will probably be my last trip away with the group of guys I go away with.
