I am getting pretty tired of every second time I log on I get a huge flashing advert
telling me I'm the 999,999th person to log on and I have WON a prize.
5 times now I have been this lucky winner.
Makes me want to not bother logging in.

You will notice the e is left off the spelling of exclusive and prize is spelt price ?
This is not a mistake in my typing , it is how the add Advertisement is written in big red checkered flashing box.

Surely I am not the only one this is happening to.
And if it continues I will sadly no longer be logging onto the site !!!!!!! surely we are NOT that desperate that we have to
put up with this sort of spamming advertisement to have a web site??????.
If the site has to be paid for why not charge members a fee for being a member, it would be better than having these
flashing advertisements in your face every second time you log in.

I was having abitch about that in the tester thread 1/2 the peeps like myself dont delete cookies so get the old site

soon and also hope that the flashie advertisement is also stopped.

Yep did a bit of script writing yesterday when you said it wasn't there .
That is the nicest skin on the board , but I gave people 5 to choice from and when I upgrade to 3.1.4 there will only be 2 skins .If I upgrade that is as the cost for the licence has changed with IPB and my perpetual, they want only 6 months not life that I have with the new concept, and state it is a new type of script and if I want support etc I will have to change to the new plans.
,I can however have the script just no support as my perpetual guarntees me all upgrades for life.

When the site comes up, prior to logging on, there are banners, the 99,999 winner banner, google cash wins etc etc etc.
When logged on, it all disappears. When I visit sites that have those pop ups, banners etc and links to porn sites, I don't enter them. Hope that visitors to this site are not deterred by those adverts..

Paul you wouldn't know it but I have recently left another site that you have just recently joined,, for exactly the same reason.
I won the 1,000,000th person prize and I mentioned it on the site and got abused by other sponsors and the Admin for
letting members know about the scam.
My thread was deleted through pressure from the sponsors, and if a site admin bowes down to advertisement before it's members
I want no part of that site,, and I have not made another post since.
It's the site closest to you I am refering to. Not NSW. I had members there that I regard as brothers, but won't be posting there again.

Well things are changing seems somehow there have been minus 980,000 logged in in the past hour cause now I am only the 10,000th person and this was even before I logged on.
Fair dinkum something must be done to get rid of these scam advertisements, before some gullible member thinks they are real and gets sucked in.

OZ bann me if you like for pointing out the scams in the adds, but something has to be done.

If you look above the shoutbox there is a box on the left side that says IPB click on it and you have a choice of 5 skins. The only skin that I have put ads on is the IPB front which is the guest skin and can be used by members also.

Will take a while to get used to it, but if it stops them annoying scam adds I'll stick with it.
Maybe this should be bought to the attention of other users as well, OR is it only dumb old Nimrod who didn't know about this ?.

I can put a mod in that tells who is using what skin if you like this weekend.
