OK who's good at maths ?. I get a vehicle converted to run gas, after the government handout it costs me $1500
I use 16 ltrs of petrol per 100 k's @ $1.30 a ltr and use 26 ltrs per 100 k's using gas at 0.56 c a ltr.
How many K's do i need to travel before I pay off the $1500 and start turning a profit.
jack
lpg=14.56 per 100 km
Petrol=20.80 per 100 km

So you save 6.24 dollars per 100 km
1500/6.24 * 100km= 24038.46 km (give or take)

I said to my step son sitting beside me ,,,, If there is one bloke on the site that will work this out it will be Jack.

Spot on.

Thanks mate, so that's not as bad as I would have thought, the average driver would start making a profit in about 12-18 months.
A lot of guys turn over their vehicles about this milage. me I do about 3000 k's a year if I don't go to Bermagui, so would not work for me.
