Went for a ride in the 28 ft mariner yesterday just to sus a few things out, the upper controls had problems selecting reverse, and a broken seat and a few other minor little things. Pulled up at yowie bay marina to get some ice and while there in between the moored boats were 2 Large kingfish balling up thousands of baitfish ( whitebait ) and chomping into them, these fish were well legal size.
Didn't have a rod or plastic in the boat, so just watched with amusement that blokes troll for mile after mile trying for these things and here they were playing right under my feet up a little bay.

Look up a report i did last year chasing kungs in the hacking pic will show I Scotty2Hotty in amoungst all the moored boats sum times in just over 5 meters of water
Looks like I'm towing down to pt kembla in the morn sum great looking water down there in close on the sst's

Had snot coming out my nose today I was laughing so much setting up the goat for tomollo 
Pay out time for a couple in the morn, going out with a bunch of clowns so it'll be be a good day either way.
Launch out of the bay instead was a bit pee'd off when told there were a few marlins heads @ cooks river ramp 2day, cant understand why peeps kill them they taste like shit.
@ wun stage was thinking about doing a 2 day trip launch bot bay & fish all the way down to JB canyons like we used to in the good old days then do the return trip following day.
Next time after all the kiddy's go back to school & accomidation isn't such a hassle

There was a broadbill in excess of 100kilo taken down at Portland Vic either today or yesterday, reports are a bit sketchy as yet but I believe it was rod and reel capture, out in 500 metre water. Bluefin are going wild and kingies hanging around averaging 15k's.
Bermi has a few fish but there is a lot of water between them.
