Heading up the Hawkesbury, or more precise the Coal and Candle creek tomorrow, will be launching from Apple Tree Bay and heading up river and flicking lures around the moored boats, for some bream.
I know it's not the best time of year for it, but beggers can't be chooses and we just have to go when the oppertunity is there, the mate who is coming with me is very restricted with his time and this is the only window of oppertunity he has this month.
The high tide is around 8.45 am so If I get the boat in the water at daybreak this will give me the best of the run in tide and full tide to get a few.
Might also have a drift or two for some flat ones if I can get anywhere near the mouth of the main river,, just in Bass boat so has to be pretty quiet water for it to be safe, would like to fish the first of the run out off Patonga if the water is safe enough.

Just checked the lights on the boat trailer and there is a short somewhere between plug and lights.
10 years or so is not a bad run without any trouble with this trailer, when I built it (full alloy) I ran the wires
up the frame ( inside) and put on a set of submerserlights. I finished making this trailer the year lady diana
was killed so that's about 10 year ago isnt it ?.
Anyhow instead of buggering around with it now I just pulled another set of lights off another trailer and will swap plates over
and I will fix the trailer lights another time.

That's all OK got power at the plug and where it feeds into the frame, but no power when the wire exits the frame at rear of trailer to connect to lights, so means a full strip and re-do.
Might just run the wires on the outside next time.
Had this same problem on another trailer about 4 years ago, pulled the wires out and hornets/wasps had built a nest and acid in the nest rotted through the plastic casing of the wire and shorted everything out.
Could be a similar problem with this one.
