Got ling ling 2day on ling ling phone.

Had a bitch in wun of the threads about new Pt Botany ramp & the way those Pt Authority boats were being A holes.

Did put it in writing along with the bitchings of wun NowI'veGotaRussianDickFed & emailed contents to Tony.

Ling Ling 2day was to ask me if I'd given my permission to Sydney Ports to use footage of Mini Me in their Promotional video

Just watched the video & boy did they sling sum Booshit esp about how good the new boat ramp was

Do recall the day & saw them snaping away with photo camera didn't see the vid camera

Anyways Stan asked me to get them to pull the video off line or @ least cut out the part of Mini Me since they did not have my permission.

Thought about it & dont mind them using the footage which is not long @ all
I'll wait till wednesday after we discuss mods to the ramp B4 I contact Sydney Ports if we can get mods as a trade off think it'll be best outcome

Watching the vid particulaly arial footage brought back memories of of sum nice holes that produced fish all gone now & in all honesty they only showed all the good footage with clean water / minimal polution not the crap we've had to deal with last couple of years.

Link to video 4 those interested

For anyone interested it's about half way through the clip, just a spaz trying to reverse his boat down the ramp.

Haha that was a classic mate, the boat looks good but smile.gif
Jumpus GooDarus
It's wun off the stupid parts of the design in my books

Concrete ramp actually runs under that pontoon & is continual
Up the top where you unstrap & prep boat is flat, 2 area's either side of the centre [which is unlined to allow existing] for the boats to pull up to prep B4 reversing down to the water.

On the eastern side that pontoon is dead smack in the middle of the lanes & ewe cant see it till ewe're nearly upon it so ewe have to swing out then back in.

Trying to get that pontoon moved right over to the breakwall leaving all lanes free in the middle

Allthough not a prob @ present, that breakwall wont be big enough wunce port is up & going & all the tugs port work boats start using the channel their wash will effect boats tied off on the pontoon breakwall needs extending with a dog leg on it

Yeah where water meets concrete.
Sir Reel
Why are the fish cleaning tables locked away.
Or is that how u northerners scale the fish, throwing them against the mesh of the fence
Jumpus GooDarus
Cage is there so as peeps throw out fish frames etc
With no frames about there's no attraction for the birds
3rd runway is not far away & seagulls are a hazard for planes taking off & landing getting sucked in to turbines

Cleaning table itself may look spoofy but it's a joke to use, very hard to fillet fish on
Can see reasoning in tap setup unless your hand is on the button ewe dont get water flow stops iriots from leaving water running & being wasted

If the brain surgeon hu designed it had a brain himself, foot control would've been a better option

Same set up with the taps down Bermi, fishermen come up with solutions and just sit a brick or car jack on the tap to keep the water flowing.
I haven't seen the new set up but think the cage is good idea to stop the birds from scavaging and driving you crazy with their squarking.
Belambie cleaning table has big hole in the middle where you slide all the guts frames etc down the hole into a lagge geeper tank, but people still throw guts and bits of waste to the gulls, which drives me crazy.
Bees Knees
Frank, the set up is excellent in principle, but the taps need a fair bit of pressure to use... The table has a convex lip that makes filleting so difficult.

We can always find something something to winge about. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

May have to start carrying a G clamp in the car laugh.gif laugh.gif

It's not winge'n @ all
There's a 500 page document that was supplied to Sydney ports prior to them even commencing works they chose to ignore what the people who were going to use the facility needed & wanted.
They chose to ignore proposals instead letting their idiot designers come up with current design.

If you've ever had to work with designers ewe'll know how impractical they can be just because it looks pretty on paper dosen't mean it's practical in use.

No different to the original 4 lane ramp up the creek, they were warned it would silt up but they knew better
What happened ewe ask ???????
Yep it silted up making it unusable after only a few years, couldn't dredge out a channel cause of all the toxins that had settled so they built that temp 2 lane ramp till this wun

CODE
a 500 page document

well there's the problem wright there, no department will ever read a document of that length, it would involve someone doing a full days work

Lock plyers would be the go, once set to size you just clip them on and go about your business.
Jumpus GooDarus
Allways carry a pair in the car
These taps are pretty wide from memory & dont think they'd fit
Bees Knees
I think we need to go down to the ramp for a tap inspection... Lets put this dilemma to rest, shall we... hahahahahaha poke.gif hysterical.gif hysterical.gif
Fed
I'm not going anywhere near that place there's a ramp Nazi down there who looks like Osama Bin Laden without the beard that goes around inciting ramp rage.
I heard just last week he started a full on fight between two groups of fishermen then went over and attacked the Security Guard.
Jumpus GooDarus
Hey Fed
Did he have a Russian 22.gif ???

I heard about him laugh.gif laugh.gif

By the look of that photo I would guess you press in the round
knob type devise on the side of the table.
You would need a clamp that secures to the table with a screw in devise
similar to a cog pulley.
I could easily make something that would do the job.
Might do a drive down there and have a stickie beak.

A Russian dick would work.
