Well for all you none believers, i have been fishing for the last 2 days... Had some success both days.
I decided not to take bait both days, as my 'apprentice' (jumpy) has been showing me a bit about working hard precuring bait and then targeting your catch..
I have two close mates that keep bugging me to go out, so we hit BB Friday. Daniel was handy with the rod, but Jack hasn't fished before.
Fishing for squid, we managed 6 in about 2 1/2 hrs. All different sizes. I told them 'that should equal 6 Kings'.. And they told me where to go.. Literally
Seas were messy as outside, so i only did 1 run of the headlands, while making our way back to BB. No Fish...
Picked 1 rat up at the first spot but not too much happening on the sounder , so we moved to the 2nd spot for 0's.
Molinoux was where we found them. Jack got his first rat on a 10cm hood, so i stripped a bigger one up to save the bait. Daniel landed his 2nd within 5mins, then his 3rd.
The sounder was showing some bigger arches (cause my combo is great) so i changed to a medium sized squid, and Daniel landed a better fish.. It went 70cm.
I put a horse squid on after that and just lost the head, so we stripped thet up and had some fun.
The only dampener on the day, was one of the boys left the bomb down, while the other was on a fish, and i lost the bomb on the rocks.. Bit gutted but it happens sometimes..
Both my mates had never caught a King before, so i was pretty chuffed about this trip.

Fished Pittwater on my own yesterday and chased birds around looking for schools. Had a lazy start, cause Jumpy says fish are still sleeping before 9am. My boat is a breeze to get on and off on your own (I dips my lid to you mate)
I hooked up with a couple of other boats while i was out there and we just helped each other out. I only landed Tailor all day, but another dude scored a big Bonny on a fly.. His fight lasted about 10mins.. It was great to watch.. the bloke did well. He had a 17 ft HH that was an open boat. Looked like it was converted runabout.. Anyways, the boat looked slick.
I only took a few pics of yesterday session as i did it on my own. No size to the Tailor, but it was non stop all day..
