What a great day on JB
Caught some small up to 60cm kings
and some snappys biggest 40 cm
water was great fairly flat tryed to get sqidds for bait only caught 1
only bad part of the day is my ears are still ringing

I'm going down there in a few day, hmh, where to fish.

Fed you've no idea how freaky this fish was

Squids were a bitch to ketch down their.
CATCH22 was allready down there & he'd gone out the day b4 with yung Luke Skywalker just fart arsing about in a 12 ft tinny, Dave said he kept getting squids taking his bait but they'd let go @ the boat.

That was in the back of my mind yes2day when I raised only wun squid but had them follow on numerous occasions would've luved wun of those pronged stems but no have.
Put a dead yakka out as we drifted squid kept grabing it & when I pulled it away they were not interested in the jigs @ all.

So cut of jig slid a size 10 yakka hook on line to act as a keeper hook a fillet of slimmy along side the squid jig thought that'll get the squids.

Next thing I know reel[set @ light drag when i squid] started sounding like thunder line screaming off had no idea wot it was & thought I was connected by the prongs on the jig took a good 10 minutes + to land when I saw wot it was called for the landing NET not A net [Mrs Potato ]

Laughed my head off when I saw it was hooked on the 10 yakka hook

The girly's gave me nightmares wun looked like Bees in a wet T-Shirt showing off his Man Boobies

Kept waking up all night & thought sum bloody iriot was playing a joke on me & had taken the roof off the house cause when I looked up all i could see was stars

Wouldn't say the fishing is that crash hot @ the moment but it can change overnight
Did see meter + frames of girly fish in the water @ callala boat ramp but hu knows how long they had been there
All we got was under sized girls plenty of those about under the light house, nothing @ long nose but wall to wall baitfish.

Had to turn on the Jumpus charm flyday @ callala ramp when sum guy comes up to me & asks how we faired
Thought sum wun had painted idiot on my back when he told me he'd gotten a 22 kg kung the other day

Wun look @ his boat & gear in it told me this guy was a great Porky Teller

Asked him if he had any idea wot a 22 kg kungy looked like & was he confusing kilo's with pounds

His story soon changed to his fish being 7 kg & that his mate had got the 22 keg

I left it @ that cause I was in a goodarus mood else I would've really have pay'd him out

Dan, id goto the Basin, we cleaned up on the bream and snapper in there anchored up and whiting are in there too.. Prob worth a try.. find out the locations of the reefs and go from there.

That sounds the good mate, might make the trip down there for 3 days

Not really in the mood but wot the heck.

Not alot of real fushy's on the trip but ewe dont have to be ketching fush to have a good time
Twas Pez , Net & myself out on Flyday great day weather wise as said earlier heaps of under sized girls I played decky wasn't going to waste the effort turning reels

Knackered by the time we got back to the funny farm [Potato Padocks]

Saturday twas just me & Pez, Net had to work that night & thought it a good idea to head home that arvo didn't want the sunday migration

So after picking the boat up from Pez's brothers place near husky made our way to Greenwell Pt, was in the mood for a good snapper fish started going to bait ground thought some slimmy's were in order as baits didn't get any just yakka's.

Had a bit of fun when a school of salmon rocked up & started taking the bait jig & pez's yakka rig

Pulled pick & headed out to the gravel for a drift, talk about a desert 1st time sounder hasn't seen fish on that drift few boats there as well & only saw wun fush [2 far 2 id] Pez picked up a couple of undersized reds me tinks.

Fed up after nearly 2 hrs opted to go anchor up off Penguin Hd allways done well there.

Didn't fire @ all for reds Pez got a Brimski, I nailed a huge bonny other than that unless I'm 4getting sum ting all we got was monsta slimmy's pulled out the 3 kg flick stick & had fun plastic'n them they were evllywhere.

Filleted /salted them

Didn't really pull the camera out all that often & Net threatened to kill me if I put up sum of the pics so these 2 will surfice

Im sure they had a blast anyways, and was good to catch up with ya for a chat round the fire..

Will have to do it again and try and get ya out for a shot next time..
