Guess Jumpus was in Santa's GooDarus list this year
And ewe lot have been naughty
As much as I liked using the original Lox 8025 EGI rods [they were fine over winter when the big squiddy's were about] of late with all the wee wittle squids about they dont cut it to stiff on the tip which makes it velly hard to distinguish a wittle squid attackting the jig.
A few months back I did take out wun of those Interline EGI's to test out
Did see that Lee Raynor chappy on Adventure bound giving them a wrap for Daiwa [guess he has to since they sponser the show]
My personal view on the Interline rods ???
Wouldn't give wun to a Jap on ANZAC Day
* 1stly Plic of a concept to even get mainline through the tube & that's @ home imagine trying to do it out on the boat
* If using braid as a mainline only a very short mono leader can be used & @ no time can ewe drag the knot past the tip of the rod else you're
in shit with the casts
* Any sort of brezze on the water & you'll lose anything between 5 - 15 + meters on the casts
Only thing I did like about the Interline was the rods action much softer than the 8025's I was using good thing about that day was Paul was out on the boat with me & I got to educate him on how the rods should work etc.
Anyways allways wanting to improve the LOX range next visit to warehouse we sat down & went over the specs for the new 8024's
Well peeps Santa made a special visit last week all the way from China & the EGI 8024's arrived along with sum more of the original EGI 8025's
I unpacked both model's to compare them look identical, may have been my imagination but the 8024 felt a touch lighter but the tip action unloaded was exactly wot I liked.
Anyways I picked up 2 of the rods to use & my other 2 originals I'm going to use as bait rods allready used wun of them as a bait stick & prefer it over my udder bait sticks.
2nd pic inset is wun of the new crusis threadlines in the 1000 size stock hasn't arrived yet I was lucky to find this wun
Also sum of ewe plics were laughing @ me a few months back when I lost my be-loved 6 - 10 kg SP stick over the side of the boat straight out of the rod holder.
Well sucko I've got a nutter wun ha ha ha
Reason I liked this blank is it allows you to use 1 ounce + jig heads velly comfortably, I was SP'n out in 40 odd meters for my snappy toms & the lighter 4 - 7 kg stick well lets just say I felt it handle the heavier jig heads as well.
Had that Big Patato Pezzamunster come up with the name Jumpy Wombat earlier
That's wot the rod would've been called
Instead it's given name is LOX Blade, a few mods to the original wun i had mainly a longer butt section so they dont jump out of rod holders & like all the udder LOX Spin rods cork grips.
At present I've married wun of my Ci 3000 to it see how it goes line capacity wise may swap to the 4000 size later
