Listened to ewe ??
My
ewe reckon that's a good haul wait till I play Prince wit the wittle Wed Corvette
Got my lecky back late last week & decided to have just a squiddy day @ my favourite super sneaky spot which allways produces hacking has been hit & miss of late so went nth instead.
Packed my EGI rod + another EGI which had come in the type with no guides your line runs through the blank loved the blank itself but did not rate the setup @ all & suggested they not bring it into the range.
Rod was a 9 1/2 ft'r ideal for the land based guys marry blank with guides instead of current setup & it'll be a winner, probs I found as is have to keep a very short leader so as knot dosen't slip back into blank did so on a few occasions & I lost jig when casting.
Next prob was distance in the cast didn't even come close to the other shorter EGI
Had 1/2 doz squid on board in no time when ph went ling ling twas paul wanting to go for a fush told him I was allready out & he should've ling ling'd earlier he said he did but i didn't answer & that i never go out b4 lunch
Twicked ewe didn't I, I said
Told him to drop by my place pick up a few bait rods & I'd pick him up in an hr or so from the ramp that would give give enough time to get sum more squiddy's.
Did fush for an hr or so only to ketch rubbish so I pulled the plug & took him squidding, wind had changed & took about 1/2 hr to find squiddy's again but wunce I did it twas mayhem for evlly wun paul aught I got 5 or 6 & he kept shakig his head & I kept laughing @ him he wanted the same lure as me, told him dont blame the lure & to prove my point I even swapped mine ove to wun of the old stock still kept ketching them.
Why ewe no risten I kept telling him ???
sum peeps are velly hard to educate there's alot more to squidding than just tossing out a lure, sink time is velly important so is the retrieve get these wong & ewe have no squiddy's.
@ end of day we did have 30 good sized squid boat was black so was paul cause he kept getting ZOTTED
left them on the chew with best part of arvo to be had.
Did go out for a fush yesterday, hadn't had the big goat out for a velly long time so decided to get it wet, long run down sth from the bay & had 4gotten just how big the goat was & how much room it has, sitting on 30 knots didn't take long @ all to get to spot.
Couple of ice snappy toms straight away then the bloody pick handles showed up lost 1/2 doz rigs in no time & I was pissed off so started the yams & ran another 6 miles east out to deeper water.
Sounder readings looked good snappy toms were there but just not on the chew after an hr of this went back to original spot picked up a few more snappys & put up with the pick handles
