At long jetty boat ramp when you leave to go the pole on your portside is green and the red pole is on your starboard,Some has got it wrong because right of the red pole is all mud.

That would be right as you would stay between the red and the green poles, red going to seaward is starboard and green is port, coming in or going upstream is the other way around, the green is to starboard and red to port.

Phil ... noticed you have been here since July 08 ... surely you must have seen the post that FED put up about the "RED POLES" hysterical.gif

everyone had a good laugh at my expense .... well it was early in the morning ... wasn't really awake biggrin.gif
the handbook states the you should drive in the channel keeping enough room on your port side for another boat to pass in the opposite direction.

Putting it simply:

Upstream is green to green and red to red
AND
Downstream is reverse ...
anyway you should be between the channel markers!

This Is say going upstream the red Is on the port and the green Is on your starboard,But This Is the other way round.

Is this the place Phil?

I'd drive between the markers and their location looks right to me.
