Full Version: Welding Effect

I was doing a welding course over the last seven weeks at Wetherill Park Tafe. This was just an introduction course so that I could find out more about welding. The course covered Oxy, Stick and Mig. The first day was just on safety and general walk around for the equipment.

Now that I have completed the course I understand what is involved with welding. I loved the Mig part of the course as I found that so much more easier and it was much faster to weld then Oxy or Stick. But then again if you have a need to do a short run of a weld, might be quicker to just use the stick.

We were using mild steel for the material that we were welding.

I am eager to see if there is going to be a next course using Tig or even to try aluminium welding. smile1.gif

I would recommend this course to people that are interested in an introduction course on welding.

$395.00 for seven weeks at Wetherill Park Tafe.

We had people from Sutherland attend. There is only one course available at Tafe. This covered one night of safety, two nights on Oxy, two nights on Stick and two nights on Mig.
