Trust me poly I know wot I'm like

If I read stupid suggestions etc I start to make fun of people that's why I dont bother registering on any sites these days 4 sum funny reason I allways seem to get BANNED hysterical.gif hysterical.gif

Tis an American build & they do things differently to the guys here allready the guy was asked if the boat was a kit & he replied no

said he had an architech design it & all the panels came cut ready to weld together

In my books that's the same as a KIT Boat
poly
well you may find this of interest here are two U.S. builders that are starting to make alloy boats that look as though they can handle the ruff stuff, but they still have a long way to go

They've got a long way to go

Still using extrusion to join hull/sides tis a cost cutting method which dosen't allow a great deal of spray chime
poly
if its an extrusion dose that mean they are using sheet alloy rather than plate

Paul

Nope sheet can be either
Extrusion is used to butt up the sheets
Alot less work than the way I did mine

oOn another note had another look @ wun of those Barcrushers today & afraid not my cup of tea @ all
Very budgetly built goats & was in a bit of shock when I looked @ the side skins [this was a 5.8 meter]
Definately not 3 mm like all the other platey's 1st glance I said 2mm but it could be 2.5mm a bit hard to tell unless I scratched the paint off
