Left home early this morning at 3am with my dad and son to Botany Bay to take advantage of the calm conditions expected until about 10am....

Arrived at the Bay around 4am, and immediately there was plenty of surface action with the "King Yellowtails" who put up good fights...my son Ahmed pulled in a massive 37cm Bream which was pretty beefy and weighed around 1 kilo....next cast he reels in another beauty at 31cm... smile1.gif smile1.gif

My dad hooked onto a massive fish which felt like a pretty big Jewie...it took plenty of line....he was using a light bream rod with very fine line that Christos gave to me....with the lightest of drag we still had no say with this fish...as soon as we tightened the drag a tiny bit, it snapped the line... mad.gif mad.gif There was plenty of action at this spot until daylight...

After daylight moved to another spot where we also encountered plenty of activity with huge schools of Tailor...i lost around 20 hooks with these choppers...we bagged 12 pretty large Tailors measuring 35cm to 45cm...

My dad also bagged a lovely 50cm Flathead. At around 8:30am my rod buckled big time....after about a 10 minute fight and lots of surface jumping i lost this massive Salmon as we were about to net it...oh damn... mad.gif

Not to be disappointed, my rod buckles again the next cast...another long fight, but this time i net a lovely 67cm King Fish....you beauty.... smile1.gif

A constant burley trail throughout the morning and pilchards and chicken for bait, turned out to be a lovely morning...days like this out in the water are unforgettable....Nice family fish feast this weekend... emot108.gif emot108.gif

Yeah, he isn't taking you anymore, christos, because you gave away the secret Homus recipe smile.gif

Majed still hasn't written down the method, quantity etc. Your explanation is like saying, when you cook a meat pie you just add meat and pastry lol.

Well done Majed and crew,

There were plenty of surface activity.... mad.gif

Our chicken and pilchard baits were getting hammered by them..we caught lots of these fish...when our baits managed to get past them to the bottom we caught some nice bream.... smile1.gif
