Decided to try a couple of spote till we found the fish. We got amongst it in the end. Half a dozen undersize snapper and the usual reef crap... Sweep came and went as well.. We ended up getting onto some decent flathead. Kept 3 to eat..
Highlight of the trip was young Chris (in the pic).. I told him to get his fish out of the live bait tank as i need a photo... He asked me, "how do you do that?" I said, "you stick your fingers in it's mouth and hold it's belly.... Here is a glove"...

This one went 60cm the other 2 kept were mid 40's. Before you all climb over me, i asked him to put it back. But he had other plans... You cant educate everyone in a day, you just try to point them in the right direction

Just a note; It's about 16nm down there from the ramp... First time ive done a big trip like that on my own... Everything went great. Getting some confidence in to boat now.
