As i said a few days ago, im going to target decent size Sydney Kings this summer for the first time.
We went to the same spot as last Wednesday after spending 2 hours trying to get bait.
We anchored up with only 5 Yakkas and within 5 min the Kings made their 1st pass through without us being ready for it.
My mate dropped his at the boat trying to tail grab it to get it in.
It easily passed as the same size as last weeks 107 cm.
I got reefed and lost it there.
I tried the theory of light drag but he didnt want to co-operate.
I may need to keep practicing on it cause we had another double hook up soon after. I had mine on the jig and tried fighting him with tight drag but this fish was just to big and busted me off taking my jig with him.
I quickly grabbed the net for my mate and he landed a nice 96 cm fish.
We lost 4 fish all up and the livies were gone.
They werent interested in anything else but we did manage to jig up 4 Samsons and 2 Trevallys, and a Mutton bird that dove pretty deep!
Ive lost a few good size ones over the last couple of sessions but like to think im learning every time.
Just doing my course, waiting to pass the exam....

Good one Salty. Hey, were you having a swim down at Gerroa on the week end? Took a pic, but you were a long way out.

I was told kinky wears his pink stiletto's with matching handbag to attract the kings, his real secret is the pink lippie and blush that really turns em on and makes them almost jump into his waiting arms. rolleyes.gif
Bees Knees
I'm still envious Salty... I want to get back out there...

Bass r on fire atm Jed, spinner baits over heavy weed beds and through lilly pads are the go-use red/black, dark green or purple and the trusty old white/silver colours.
