I got a call later that day with sum prices which I wont disclose mates rates between me & my mate chris from Sea Sea Marine.

Had my sights on a new 115 hp yammy 4 banger but a spanner got thrown into the equation

Mercury specials this month see's the 115 hp Merc 4 banger come in @ $3,500 cheaper [again mates rates]

Didn't want to break my Yammy tradition of the past 20 odd years & told chris I'd let him know on munday after mulling it over

These goaty's are costing me a small fortune so I've decided on the merc

Only consolation is that Mine is still bigger than Bees wun & to boot it's also more blacker so I'll be getting more women than him as well

A mate up the coast has had a 115 on his haines 17ft, we gave him a bit about the black anchor but he's happy as with it, no probs whatsoever and the price was as you mentioned JG-too good to refuse.

Well it was either the black anchor or a 150 HP yammy 4 banger with under 100 hrs on it
Nothing like buying new so I went with the black anchor

The wun I'm getting is merc from the usa the wun Bees has is a yammy built motor with merc electrics



Just the green wun & my wittle blue wun which is being replaced by the wun I'm building now

A few years back I did have 3 goats

It would be a shame if you didn't utilise these boats often.....

There is nothing in these motors anymore... They all claim something over each other.. I have all the bloody brochures to prove it..

All have warrantees etc... I'm lookin forward to the quietness oof the 4 stroke and some trolling

Is the blue CC the old one? Because all I remember a white CC with Viva on it and it was in the water with a motor (Yammy I think) and looked good to go. Are you replacing that one or the old dark blue one that you've seemed to have had for a while (i.e. you used it when you started the site).

I'm lost, f*ck I can't wait till the HSC is over and I can catch up!

That was the 1st of 3 I just built & it was for the boys @ viva it powered it with a new yammy 80 hp 4 banger & it went well more than enough hp

2nd goat went to Bees he powering with a 90 hp 4 banger merc

Last goat which is prob a couple of weeks away from hitting the water if I can get materials this year

Initially I purchased the hull to do a trip around oz b4 I started getting crook

Thought it wise to have dual axles for such a long tow

Make sure you put up a picture of the new goat with the merc when it's all done and you can finally use these things!

It arrived into the country last week & got delivered today.

I left the motor behind for now & only picked up the gauges contols etc

Best way of describing it is that it's big & it's Black

That 115HP Merc is going to fly Jumpy, the Yankee horses are bigger than the little Japanese ones, your Merc is probably equal to a 130HP Yammy.

Dont tell him that Fed... He already has a stiffy

Well i prepped the boat on Sunday and painted it on Monday.. I'm happy with everything except a few things on the skins... I'm just gonna rub a few things back and flick another coat in the areas.

I know it's only a boat, but some things i thought would cover are now sticking out like

This wont take long, and better to do it now...

I still have paint on me in places i didn't think possible there are so many hard to get to places on a boat, that you just wear it

I did a 20' ply boat from scratch Bees so you can imagine how much paint went on that from bare wood to final coat.
What I used on the inside was one of those 'parts cleaning' guns with the tip on the end of a metal stalk if you get my drift. It was great for getting into all the hard to get places and reducing the spray fan size/spread also helped.
What colour is it?
