Anchored up around 3 . 30 pm tode was running out opposite to what I was told yesterday by some unscupolous person I wont mention game plan was to bream them on but it was not to be.
I fish for my bream closer in than where we were & it can only be fished with good results on a run in tide.
Anyways went deeper to where I fush for my reds & the sounder was showing plenty of them so down went the anchor, on the way out stopped off & got some livies to put down in hope of a Jewgong.
Well I had my 1st 1/2 pilly bait go screaming off within 30 seconds STEVE was with me & respooling his reel & I was putting together a rig for the live bait, in the proccess rebaiting my 3 kg outfit @ least 1/2 doz times had some screaming runs on the baitrunner but missed them all.
Finally live bait in the water & time to pay a little more attention tomy bait rod we were still getting runs but ni where as hard hitting as those 1st 1/2 dozen.
1st few fish in the boat were just under sized so back in they went, we were getting a run generally within the 1st couple of minutes of bait hitting the water but the buggers were dropping the baits.
Needless to say still managed 8 fish which went into the live bait tank 3 off which I released back @ the ramp along with the unused livies.
Nothing hit the livies except for squid the ine in the pic is going to taste rather nice 2morro night nothing like some honey glazed squid on a bed of rice, snow pea'sa touch of chilly but no CreamOfSumYungGuy

All in all not a bad couple of hrs fushing even tossed a SP out the back & again like last trip the reds where hitting it whilst it was bouncing in the current with the rod in it's holder didn't even have to work the lure.
Smaller reds came in @ 31 cm's
