Had to rig the bobby cork and set the depth for Chris, then bait his hook, then cast it out for him. Told him how to watch the line and not get too much belly in it, and feed it out as the wash is ebbing etc. Saw his bobby cork 'wham!!!' disappear and siad, "well are you going to strike?" He had hooked his first Luderick and it was going like a steam train. I coached him through it, and explained how to wash it up in the swell. A good start. "You're on your own now Jacko", so off I went to rig my gear.
Must have been a stray, I thought, as we didn't get another down for 15 mins. Then I hooked a nice one which took a bit to land. The tide was coming in and the fish were just starting to respond to the burley I had scraped in. Chris had to go, as we needed to pick his car up at Hurstville. An hour and a half, for 3 fish and we left them biting. Think I may have to go again tomorrow
