It was one of those lazy sunday afternoons so I decided to have a go with my 4kg baitcasting outfit.
3rd cast and I was on. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

dunno bout the 25kg though! maybe underexagerating there??

I was out in the backyard a few years ago playing with my fishing gear (as we do), I made a lasso in my 2Kg bait rod put it out on the grass with some bread for burley & whammo I nailed one of those pointy headed pidgeons. He wasn't much of a fighter but I clipped one of his wings and kept him as a pet for a couple of weeks until he could fly again.
I won't mention the time Jumpy got spooled by a Pelican in a park at Swansea. smile.gif

I've never nailed a Pelican Poly but I bet they'd be nasty to release. I've had many run ins with Mutton birds, they are bad enough and they don't go through the burley bucket either their damned feathers clog all the holes up.
