Headed out early this morning, too windy and rough for a flattie drift round the flats so headed for a bit of shelter behind oil terminal! Anchored up and started burley trail, first baits down after 10 mins or so of rigging and berleying.....One bait barely hit bottom and up comes first keeper of the day, healthy trev.....plenty of undersized around and caught my bait for next trip-kept the slimies and started sending the yakkas back as I had my fair share....Caught another 2 trevvas and a fair sized bream....Couple of bust offs on my light gear-I suspect they were bigger bream! the wind really started to pick-up so I headed back across the bay and had a drift around 3rd runway for a few small snapper and decided to call it a day! My little boat handled the chop really well, got a little air, got quite wet but allwas well as my tackle box stereo worked a treat!
Dropped in at Franks on the way home for a couple of coldies and a bit of bird feeding, had a good chat!

I did not feel to good sunday and ended up not going out at all.
Next time if it is very windy you can try port hacking, at least you're more protected there.

Even thou it was windy you still went out. What would you classify as too windy?

Too windy Kristos is when the chop is getting around the 2-3ft mark and the wind is gusting @ 35-40kts....I was getting blown about and had to keep the throttle low.....

Well done, at least you braved the weather and went fishing.....
I haven't been fishing for nearly 2 months cause the weather has been so dreadful. If its not rain, its the wind...
Now that the rain has gone, what do we get, WIND....

Looking like that you have drawn the line in the sand, and you have dared me to cross the line.
Well no way am I going to cross that line. You will just let one go.

Well you did feed me the line. I just picked it up and ran with it.
I know Majed should be working hard at the moment so would be very hard for him to come back with reply.

Yeah DC, cheers for the tip, they slowed down on the bite cause I was lazy and didn't check the burley supplies on board before leaving home.....Once the burley machine stopped so did the blurters and along came the yakkas and the slimeys! Hope next time the weather is a little better and I can head out a bit and try find a reef a little outside the heads for a go at some snapper!

wittle 2" fire baits work wonders on the blurters if you're into SP'n virtually every casy if burley is flowing
