My mate Brendon wing and a couple of other mates went fishing down at tasmania during the week.
They were determined to catch huge SBT on threadline gear.
Here is one of the results.

Great effort

Threadlines have nowhere near the line capacity of overhead reels, they must've been doing alot of chasing with the boat cause it's not exactly a small wittle fishy laugh.gif

That's right rumpy the boat was dead. Brendon is about 6'6" and he really puts some hurt on those fish, I have seen him bring in some fish that you would not believe possible.
Don't have the Snapper tape but thinking of getting a copy off him or charlie, have you seen the SOO tape from JB ?.
He got a yft then, on threadline as well ( think that one went 42 k's ).

What was the outfit? By the looks of it some heavy jigging stuff.

Hey found out some more info. The fish went 90kg and he was using (of course) top quality jigging gear consisting of a stella with two handles, one on each side so he could switch hands when they got tired. Much like jumpy if you know what I mean. laugh.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif

He was searching for a 100kg+ model but this one's pretty good I guess. laugh.gif rolleyes.gif
