10 foot see-through reef boat.


Just had 2 cracks plastic welded, also have had the rubber and the seals around the outside as well as the inside re-sealed. The rail on the outside has been varnished again.

When in the water, you can see straight through making it a great reef or spearing boat. The acrylic plastic is very strong and the boat has no leaks. It is now not required for what I needed it for.

no boat can catch fish Rum, thats up to the angler the thing that gets my goat is the fact that people give the wrong info about the boats it would be like saying that every tiny will crack and thats just not true, when your dads boat cracked it was not the fault of the alloy it was bad manufacture was it not, yes we have a laugh and a dig about it but it is dune in fun, to do or say otherwise would be stupid.

You want to see which boat, engine and equipment in general lasts allot of abuse, hard living and neglect travel up to the Torres Straits they live in boats or "TI Commodores".

Im up there 120+ days a year and i can tell you they use fiberglass Wahoos, Hookers and ally tinnies. There is one polly boat up there that is 12 months old but is looking VERY 2nd hand and it will be dead in 6-12 months time.

Engines used are mainly Yamaha 50-70's on 4.5m boats but mercury seems to be making a move in.

boats up north are left in the hot tropical sun, never washed or flushed, bashed on rocks, slide up and down on pylons (3-4m tides) when they are wanted out of the water their skull dragged up the beach by a car or 4x4 over rocks etc there is no love for boats their just a mode of transport.
The polly boat looks like someone had taken a saw to it deep gouges all over it some that have cut through the top layer of hull next time im up there ill take a pic.

Thats why i searched for a TI Commodore for myself, versatile, strong and easy to use.

when u say they have cut through the top layer of the hull, do u mean wright through the outer hull.
please don't think i am questing what u have said, its just that there are many polys in the top end they don't seem to be having a problem so i look forward to seeing some photos and if possible the model of the boat.

hehhehehe go the polys i reakon it looks brand new and all the alloys look second hand hehehehe
