Well Jumpus has just spooled up his new Fly eel with braid & didn't like his knot from braid to fry rine

What knot do you guys use ???????????????????

mate its called a nail knot ,its hard to explain and harder too do ,,better google one ,,maet fro freshwater i just use a double knot ,and i havent broken off yet ,,,

Do you use the Nail Knot to tie mono leader back to fly line as well ?????

yeah mate ,nail knot from backing to line and the same from line to leader ,,,mate ya dont have to go and buy leaders just use about 20lb for about 4 ft then about 30lb for the last 5ft or so ,depends on what your targeting ,,on trout i just use 6lb nylon ,,and cod i use 15lb nylon ,,,but for things wiff teefies you will need something bigger as you now ,,,,

Knot looks very simply

jas haven't spooled the freshwater reel yet.

Doing the salt water one 1st & no probs about leaders have spools of just about every fluro leader around got given a few spools of a new fluro called Royal today but left them behind

Played around with it today getting the scales out to test out the knot strengths etc As the breaking strain wasn't marked on the packaging nice stuff though should be released real soon.

Na still haven't used them I did however put the backing on one of them
