Motors were running a bit sick the other week so I gave the 2 Asprin but that didn't work.

Fed's urinating exploits into my fuel tank couldn't be cured by Asprin so the motors under went surgery

8 new injectors later I picked the boat up last Flyday in a bit of a hurry scurry & one didn;t sound all that crash hot but since mechanic wasn't open on weekend took it & was gonna play around with that motor.

Plus I wanted to fit up new seperators & fuel lines, did all this then ran the motors & they sounded pretty goodarus if I musr say so, but running them on rabbits ears is not the same as loading them up on the water.

Didn't like the weather rest of weekend & didn't get out till yesterday they started fine 1st turn of the key as allways, took it easy as I allways do getting out of the boat ramp vicinity them put the hammers down.

Well it was a case of Not Happy Jan port motor was breaking down & dragging the starboard motors revs down with it easing the throatle back then very easy down again produced revs up tp 5200 rpm still well below par.

New the mech hadn't pulled off the fuel canisters like he was supposed to have down + there was a lead off one of the spark plugs last trip out silly me must've left it off & when I picked boat up we assumed top cylinder had unburnt fuel in it.

Anyways assessing the prob on the water I knew it was a fuel prob just not sure where so I nursed that motor went for a fish, Dave got sick any other time I would've said stiff sh*t but mech was on the way home & we packed up in order to save me towing back & forth.

Caught mech just as he was going home dropped the boat off, went there around lunchtime fuel system was allready stripped off the motors & Chris had left it @ that till I got there to see for myself cause when I dropped boat off last night I chewed his ear telling him that he didn't clean the canisters like he was supposed to & I was correct.

Motor giving probs had growth in the canister + the gauze was blocked by crap hence the reason the motor would break down when hammered it was starving fuel anyways I cleaned the canisters on of them anyway & grabbed a better one to replace the crappy one.

Bear in mind when I purchased the motors 13 months ago they were allready 14 months old & wasn't in the market for motors but couldn't help myself when I popped in to say herro one day.

Anyways who ever worked on them prior to me buying them was a wanker cause @ some stage fuel pump was replaced inside canister & idiots had left out the pickup maybe why that motor wouldn't idle properly @ times.

Anyway I'll go back tomorrow pick it up & take it out for a run

fuel canister

Ewe bunch of perverts stop looking @ my naked motors

i did read what u said J G i was just asking the question think about it the motor was not starving for fuel when u bought it.
i am not trying to be a smart ass, there has to be a reason for that amount of salt.
