My back has been pretty crook since I got back from The Clarence, I haven't been able to do very much around the joint.
I spend almost 1/3 of my life laying in bed, and another great deal of my time sitting on a chair at the computer. I have just assembled a new queen sized slumber style bed which may help somewhat. I am looking at a more suitable style chair to sit at while at the computer. The one I have now is a good office chair with reasonable support, arm rests and hydro height adjustment, but it is a few years old and I find myself using extra cushions to sit on. Although I keep telling myself I am going to spend less time sitting at the computer, and more time being active doing other things, I still find myself sitting on the chair, even though I might not be using the computer. I have looked at a few office chairs and one starts looking like all the others, I don't want ( can't ) spend a lot of money on a chair, somewhere around $150-$200 would be my limit. What sort of Computer chair do you blokes use and anyone with some suggestions, where the best place to buy one from, Is leather more benificial other then fake leather or material style better. Officeworks, ikea, ebay, lots of options,,, anyone suggest where is best to look ?. -------------------- Frank

It is not so much the chair as your entire sitting positon that is most likely causing you grieve. your desk probably does not go up and down to get to the deal height and neither does your monitor, but they all influanece the way you sit. Google to find the correct position to sit in behind a computer and see if some strategically placed spacers/books improve your position. I don't tink pillows are any good in providing support unless you suffer from hemeroids. most of all take frequent brakes from your desk, I do. some swear by those funky chairs where you sort of kneel into, I don't see it but maybe worth a try. -------------------- ![]() |
