4 trips out wide in the past 7 days chasing YFT & didn't turn a reel
1st day out nearly landed the boat on a Marlin sunning itself though. Well I got a bit sick & tired of catching nothing so packed the big boat away & took Mini Me out today Thought I'd get back to basics but couldn't resist a quick run out to Bot Bay Fad haven't fushed for Mahi's for a couple of years now & the seas being so flat I was out there in no time. Cheeky wittle buggers have wised up me tinks guess thewy've been coping a flogging all season, they wouldn't touch lures but would follow them So i cubed them up easy to do in todays conditions very slow drift no wind & unlike last time no lead required, none made legal size just under & didn't even bother taking any pics. oh well they were a bit of fun but tide change around 3 pm thought I'd go back in & have a quick suid session, fridge is empty & I wanted a couple for bait Then it twas back into the Bay, no real joy there all arvo only managed 2 snapper of 35 cm's it was frustrating cause I could see the schools on the sounder Prob didn't help with all the baitfishy's about but they did draw in the kungs. Got 3 of them on the light tackle but all were just under & velly velly fat. Again tis going fruitloops in the bay last week it was 16 degs, tues it was 19 degs &we had massive schools of blurters under the boat whilst burleying for yakka's 2day it was 23.5 degs & the blurters disappeared generally a pain in the arse but I would've welcomed them today.

At least there is enough for a meal! Nice day out there yesterday! FED even wore red unddies and I took corned beef sandwiches ... next time will have to take ham and mustard we get more fish with ham and mustard! |

I can't wear her's Jumpy they're all G-Strings and they'd tickle my quimmer, I don't know how women could put up with them. Was thinking about tying a red G-String to my aerial as a fish attractor though.
After our last few outings I'm thinking about giving up fishing. -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |

It was only a wittle Wun Bees think it was 4.3 meters twas David's goat
Bloody brothal of a boat shit everywhere didn't like that @ all, big absence of rod holders as well which made it a bit hard fushing in the dark Think you know I like a place for everything Other than that goat was powered by a 50 hp 4 banger yammy, cant really comment on performance as it was like a lake out there. Boat itself was very stable on anchor wasn't effected by weight movement insude, overall not a bad estuary boat @ all Different type of fushing to wot I'm used to quite relaxing Fish would come on it spurts yours truly did better on the brimski's, David got the stud + all the catfish I'd do that sort of fishing again quite enjoyed it think it would be alot more comfortable in my wittle goat -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |
