We fished 2 days of 3 down in South Oz.. It takes the best part of a day to get there and back. So 1 day we leave open for other activities
12 of us head down each year at this time and in this, there is a few newbies, that have never caught a decent snapper. It is always great to have a look at thier faces once the Mayhem has settled. Everyone has a grin from ear to ear Here is a few of our catch on day 1. The biggest just ticked 10 kg. We bagged out on the bigguns but fell a few short of the smaller ones. I'm putting a picky of one of my mates who has just caught his first fish, let alone a 10kg version s5.JPG ( 135.48K ) Number of downloads: 23 s14.JPG ( 98.25K ) Number of downloads: 20 s11.JPG ( 90.12K ) Number of downloads: 23 End of day 1... Grrrrreat, mate. How come you got onto the reds and Sumo and big willie didn't?? Makes me want to get down there, and then I see pics of big mackeral and barra and want to get up there. Two more months and I will be up north. One more week and hopefully be down at GP.

Day 2..
The skipper had the day off so we headed out with the deckie.. Much the same as the day before, absolute mayhem again in the first hour on the big ones and spent the rest of the day trying to find the small ones. We fell short of our quota again but it doesn't matter. The weather was brilliant, so was the fishing and company. Some of these photos may have been from day 1 but it doesn't matter.. s1.JPG ( 120.65K ) Number of downloads: 13 s8.JPG ( 127.05K ) Number of downloads: 13 This is my oldmate Ziggy.. He was crook as Rookwood all day, then insisted i take a photo of all he caught for the day (bait) s4.JPG ( 103.59K ) Number of downloads: 16 -------------------- Don't hate me, cause you ain't me... :)

Day 3.. The locals do a few nice things for us each year..
A couple there turn on a massive feed for everyone and invite us into thier home. But first he needs all our Snapper fins to smoke, so another comes around for cleaning and filleting. s9.JPG ( 168.26K ) Number of downloads: 16 s12.JPG ( 223.88K ) Number of downloads: 14 Nothing is wasted on these fish, and smoked fins are sensational. I'll throw in a few photos to wrap this up... s3.JPG ( 144.07K ) Number of downloads: 15 s15.JPG ( 90.18K ) Number of downloads: 14 s14.JPG ( 98.25K ) Number of downloads: 7 -------------------- Don't hate me, cause you ain't me... :)
