Went out fishing with Majed and my girlfriend on Monday on Majed's boat. We got to a place that Majed has been having a lot of success and today it was no different.

According to Majed the wind was a bit strong and so that was why we were moving around a bit. Just made things a little bit too messy to cast at one spot and try to keep the line in that spot without it being dragged around the bottom. As you would think one disadvantage is another advantage we were able to pull in a flathead of 45 cm. Now I know that some of you out there would be thinking that wow not bad but are these fish suppose to be a congregating type fish. There fore you would be getting more than one. This was not the case for us.

We caught Bream, Tarwhine and Tailor and this was the first time that I have caught Tailor. Not something that I normally target and all under sized so back they went.

We started our fishing from around 12:00 and had lunch in the boat with Majed wife famous home made hommus. Beautiful. I have made this once myself but did not include the garlic so it tasted a little different. But in a blind taste test between the one that I made and the one that Majed wife made I would have voted for Majed wife one.

We made our way to another location in the afternoon a little closer to our point of entrance / exit. I tried using soft plastics to see what was out there but nothing came my way. I have a lot to learn in this type of fishing and so more trail and error for the moment.

Majed and my girlfriend were still using prawn and chicken and getting heaps of little hits but no fish. There were another four boats in the area but could not tell if any were catching fish. One boat was drifting and they did that twice before they headed off.

We left just as the sun was going down.

Enjoyable day.

It was a good day's fishing once agin...very enjoyable...

Current was a moving to quickly and as such that is why we kept getting little bites and lots of little tailor..But still we manged a few nice bream and flathead..

This spot works very well with larger fish when the current is slower....have to now work out when to expect quick or slow moving currents....

There was a lot of burley that I had. I defrosted the freezer which was sealed shut from all the ice. And as a result all that stuff had to go. We chopped and crushed what I had and used for burley. Majed kept asking what is in this and what is in that. My response was I do not know.
