Was out flicking some plastics yesterday, when the insert popped out of a guide on my Viva Limited Edition, 2-4kg spin rod. Any suggestions as to which guide to replace it with? Jumpus? Love that rod, so want to get it rebound asap.

I have a few odd guides left over from my rod making days here, what style and size do you need and what colour bindings and I will see if I can help.
My eyes are not good enough to actually do the job these days ( wouldn't trust myself ) but I may be able to help with guide and cotton.

Frank. The guides are L single foot items. Ring size is the same as a Fuji 20mm. Black binding.

Had a look and I haven't got any single foot guides left. Sorry.
The black cotton no worries but you an get that anywhere.

Yes, binding thread isn't a problem. The cost of a set of Fuji guides will buy a 2 - 4kg graphite rod on eBay. Don't know what the quality would be like though. Pelagic, Saratoga, Shakespere, Berkley, Sambo etc. They are all around the same price.

Lox rox, but they are too stiff for me. Don't like the sound of getting stiffed. smile.gif
Found a guy who sells used guides and he has some the same, so I guess I will be doing some binding.
