The Fush are clean

I was surprised though when Mully said he had probs geting the prongs cause they really shone out for me months & months ago down @ Greenwell Point thats where they did the damage on the flathead.

Taken a few flatones up here in Sydney on them but not like down the coast

not many tackle shops stock atomic products down south, its a shame because quite a few get good reviews and Id love to be able to score a few local.

Yep Yep !

Think thats the prob with most of the importers being here in Sydney.

Dont quote me Mully but I'm pretty sure I actually picked them up in K-Mart down in Nowra & now that I've thought about it it was closer to 10 months ago.

CATCH22 & myself had gone down the coast for a few days just had a looky & found the report that I did & it was June last year & I redered to the SP as a Prawn Looking thingy.

http://www.fishing-oz-style.info/forum/ind...p?showtopic=269

I've tried those squidgy prawny things & no where as good as those atomics now that you've reminded me I'll have to re-stock as I dont think I've any left.

They look the goods.. I'd even eat them. The flatties couldn't resist the old wobbler tail

After getting sick of having my pants pulled down with jig heads I invented my own improved texas rig style for these bad boys and other long tail grubs etc works a treat and you can run them through the nastiest weed and structure without snags.

# 1. Slide the "worm weight" onto the line, and attach the line to the hook.
# 2. Insert a rigging or sewing needle with line attached up ther length of the worm until desired point of entry is achieved then exiting the worm and pulling through the line...
#3. Attach the weedless worm hook to your line and push the hook eye and knot up into your pre made needle hole so it is invisible
#4. With the hook end push the hook up into the body until it almost comes out the worms top side but not through..

This style is almost snag proof and having the hook further down the tail increases your chances of hook ups especially with bream trying to pull your pants down, give it a go and find some nasty structure to test it out....

same principle as above just a run down if you want to know how to....

Being a bait fishermen virtually all my life & being a firm believer that a HOOKS POINT must allways be exposed !

How is your hookup rate with the point embeded back inside the plastic ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

interesting point is the hook is passed out the passed just back under the plastic and after a bit of practice you will see for yourself when you squeeze it even slightly the point protrudes a sharper hit will send the barb out and result in good hookups...Previously I didnt do this and still caught fish but since changing to my new method it has paid off big time even smaller bream are being hooked quite easily.

of coarse with big fish its less likely to not penetrate on the strike if slightly embedded, with smaller fish try and master the push through and hide back method it does work.
