Going for a trip up to Port Stevens on Friday. meeting up with about 20 other Fishraider members for a week end fish. unfortunately the weather outlook is not in our favor by the looks of things. I may not fish as my specialist heart doctor has advised against going outside, possibly get a ride with someone who is fishing the Bay. Coming home Sunday afternoon so I hope I have some photos and a story or two to tell you blokes.

Enjoy your weekend Frank Looking forward to your story George. Thanks for the reply. I will do my best although I may not even wet a line, the forecast is for rain both Sat and Sun which will dampen a lot of spirits and probably be lucky for 1/2 dozen guys to turn up for the event. We will see what happens. And will write up a report whatever the case may be. -------------------- Frank

Have a good time regardless, Frank. Watch out for that old ticker mate. Someone caught a nice Bluefin off the Nelson Bay marina breakwall, the other week, so if nothing else you could wet a line there, maybe even target a few blackfish

Rain and wind and then some more rain and more wind. 4 boats managed to get out on the bay but none managed to get outside the heads, total fish caught between 4 boats was 3 smallish Flathead and a couple of bait size Whiting. I didn't get to wet a line, watched a lot of TV and had some good meals.
Great place with decent weather but it seems whenever I want to wet a line the weather turns to crap , haven't had decent rain for over 2 months and it has to pore down the week end I want to fish. Oh well murphy's law and I will have to wait now for the next edition, IF there is another edition. -------------------- Frank

What a bugger otherwise it would have been a great place to be. George. Port Stevens would be a fantastic place to retire, great outside fishing and great bay fishing, on a decent day and lets face it there are far more calm days than wet and windy days, so IF you lived there you would have everything a fisherman could want, then you would just have to make plans to go down to Jindy for trout OR up to Awoonga for Barra. Sounds good to me. -------------------- Frank
