MULLY u know a lot more about fishing rods than i do, but i reckon i would have to be drunk as a judge to pay for a rod where the runners have been bound like that, so can u please explain the reasons behind it as i have never seen one like it.

Not really a silly question when first asked if I wanted this style I had no idea either now Im a changed man..
what it does is it helps reduce the torque on the rod and reel when battling big fish . Some other benefits from this design are rod stability, reduced line friction, line never comes in contact with the blank, and a increase in sensitivity. I like the idea it has been around for about 75 years believe it or not, originally called a Roberts Wrap... Hope this helps you out search roberts wrap and more will come up on the subject This post has been edited by Mully: Oct 16 2007, 11:05 PM -------------------- YOU MUST SHOW RESPECT TO GET IT IN RETURN, NEVER PRESUME YOU DESERVE IT.....
