Wow, What a weekend...
After leaving for Ulladulla last Thursday night, at 1am, in the rain, my trailer seized a bearing and left me stranded with a Dud axle and me and my daughter pulling a axle out at 3 in the morning.. I was due to drop my boat to Matt at Mobile Boat Covers - Milton at 8am the next morning.. After alot of stuffing around Matt helped me out and I was able to get the trailer on 2 wheels to his shed where he allowed me to work on the trailer while he measured and made the covers! Had to take a quick trip upto Sydney to Sales trailers to get a new axle. I really cannot thank Matt enough! ANYWAYS, ONTO THE COVER.... although nervous about spending so much on a cover without being able to see the finished product first, Matt assured me it would be ok, and I can honestly say, it has come up way better than expected.. I have a new Bimini, Clears, Backdrop and allover travel cover which fits on with the Bimini folded down into the boat.. Please let me know if Pics dont work! www.mobileboatcovers.com.au |

Thanks Guys
Just for comparison here is a pic of the old one.. Only the Bimini was in need of replacing as all the stitching had started perishing and falling out and the zippers were stuffed, but another issue was on long trips I could not leave the covers up as they were to high and the wind knocked them around, they were hard to remove and there was no security without putting it all back up. Now with the new travel cover, the buimini is neatly folded out of the way and the gear in the boat is out of the weather and secure (out of sight)..

There's a young bloke 'Skack' on sydney angler that would probably love the old one, he's recently scored a very old glass boat it would suit by the look of it. Guess it would have to go via the free 'mates helping mates' transport system, seems a shame to chuck it away. -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |

It would need some new zips and a little bit of sewing but not a lot. |

Got your PM Spud, stick it in the for sale section.
Did you see the boat "Funky Pirate" mate, looks like it would be half a chance? I'm still trying to figure out what it is with the big swirl molded into the side of it, I've never seen anything like it. Has to be an import no Aussie builder would go to the trouble, I wonder how they got it out of the mold? -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |
