A closer up pic!!

Overall, A great day!!

Thanks Sir Reel for come saying Gday and sharing a few spots in the Bay.. It was the first time i Had launched and fished this area and as you can see had some luck!

Caught quite a few Sg. Bakers, Pike, Trevally, Chopper, Rock Cod, and even a few small Flatties, Even managed quite a few on plastics, The Pike and the Baker loved the squidgies!

Best 2 fish was the Pictured Schapper, and a smaller version at an honest 36cm.

The Big Fella went 2.2kg and 53cm.. My PB!

Had a bit of a fish but nothen worth reporting just glad to get out there. Headed outside only to get wet off the bow spray, came back in and caught a lot of rubish.

There a pain but good bait when needed. The leather Jackets were a pain for me, I wasted so much time re-rigging.

There are 3 ways I would cook this fish

Steam. To steam cover in foil leaving a air pocket traped inside to steam in its own juices. Why not try some sliced tomatoe, onion and lemon slices for more flavour. Can be cooked in a oven or BBQ 175 deg 45 min or until cooked or medium heat on bbq 1/2 hr . Once fish is cooked, put on a plate line up another plate next to it now grab the head and fold back onto the second plate. Then fold head back again and look no bones.

Filited. If you are not going to eat the hole fish save 1/2 for later by filliting. With these fillets you could dust with flower and herbs or batter and shalow fry in a fry pan or on the BBQ

BBQ. Score diagonaly 1cm apart to the bone, rub in a mix of chilli, garlic and chives. ( you can buy these in tubes in the vegi section at wollies) Heat BBq plate, Place fish direct on hot plate with minum heat squezz lemon juice over the fish while cooking. 15 min 1 side 10 min the other side. Rember slow cook, I just about turn my bbq to the off position for a very low heat.
